My Journey
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Wingate University, where I learned what separates effective communication strategies from ineffective ones. I then worked on the contractual side of the house at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Task Lead serving as a liaison between the business and technology side. I gained valuable skills such as understanding the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and knowing how to translate requirements between non-technical folks and developers. I enjoyed working as a Task Lead but wanted something more creative. I then came across UX design, I realized this role is basically a creative twist on translating requirements which was the perfect fit for me. I went back to school for my Master of Science in Interaction Design and Information Architecture at University of Baltimore. I have been working in the design space ever since- designing, testing, researching, leading, oh and translating.
